Even the love songs belong to a different era and do not manage to create the romantic feel to a great extent. Most of the tracks are not mass appealing, as the album is filled with devotional and situational numbers. Jodha Akbar unfortunately does not meet the high expectations in terms of music. Neither the lyrics not the music is impressive. However unlike the earlier devotional track this one turns out to be quite plain and mediocre. It is a number sung in honour of Lord Krishna. ' Mann Mohanaa’- another devotional song sung by Bela Shinde. It comes across as a very plain number especially for a love song. The music and rhythm are of the old world, but the song is long drawn and the pacing is too slow. Hence today's audiences may not find the song overtly romantic or interesting. It is a romantic number but belongs to the Mughal era. ' In Lamhon Ke Daaman Mein'- Sonu Nigam and Madhushree croon this song. There is an 'Oboe Instrumental' version which is an average instrumental piece.
However again the number may appeal to a select audience as it is not of the mass variety. Rahman's rendition too is filled with depth and emotion. It has a slight 'qawalli' feel and the lyrics are divine and inspiring. It has minimal musical arrangements in the background which lay emphasis on Rahman's voice. A beautiful, touching and poignant track. ' Khwaja Mere Khwaja' – A song rendered by Rahman himself and which is devotional in nature. There is a ' Flute Instrumental' version that will make a nice background piece during the film. However the song cannot be termed as a conventional romantic number. The song is endowed with poetic lyrics that create a unique appeal. A romantic love song with soul stirring lyrics and 60's style music. ' Jashn-E-Bahaaraa'- Javed Ali makes his singing debut with this number and his rendition his good. However it is a situational song and will be truly appreciated when the grand picturisation is depicted alongside the song. The music, lyrics and rendition all are executed in a grand and lavish manner in keeping with the epic theme of the film. The song has been sung well by Mohammed Aslam and Bonnie Chakraborthy. There is an orchestra which gives it the grandeur feeling there are loud sounds of drums, horns and swords in the background. ' Azeem-O-Shaan Shahenshah'- The album begins with a grand number which sings and honours the grand Emperor Akbar and his rule. The two have come together for the third time and this time too there are high expectations from them. The music for the film has been composed by A.R Rahman and the lyrics have been penned by Javed Akhtar. And finally Ashutosh's films are known to have exceptional music. Jodha Akbar stars the hit couple, Hrithik and Aishwarya Rai who have shared amazing on-screen chemistry in the past.
The film has been in the making for the last two years and a lot of effort and hard work has gone into it. It is an epic film based on the life of Emperor Akbar and his Hindu wife Jodha bai. There are high expectations from the film Jodha Akbar firstly as it comes from one of the top directors, Ashutosh Gowariker who has delivered hit films in the past.
